AI-Powered Public Insight for Smarter, Citizen-Centric Regulation

AI-Enhanced Understanding and Citizenry Feedback for the Informed Regulation of Digital Services
Work Package 3 explores how AI can bridge the gap between complex digital regulations and public understanding. Focusing on the financial services sector, this project uses advanced AI tools including large language models, to translate legal jargon into accessible language and deliver real-time, user-friendly guidance for digital service users.
At the same time, it introduces novel feedback mechanisms that allow citizens to share structured, anonymized input on their perception on regulations in context. These insights help policymakers and regulators better understand user needs and adapt digital regulation accordingly.
We will contribute to more inclusive and transparent governance by fostering two-way communication between citizens and regulators in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
